I am still under construction with the MurphyVerse. Here I will be sharing writings in a similar fashion to blogging, but more geared toward being an entertainment and engagement piece. What I hope the fun part is for you is that you find the messages inside the fun. I often write with double and triple meanings in my pieces. Think of my writing as a verbal editorial cartoon.
I am at once serious and overtly silly. Frankly, it's a sense of humor that can be an acquired taste. I hope you enjoy and find supporting this site worthwhile and stay. Please give me your input on topics you would like to see me address. I have many opinions, and I'm delighted to share them with those who would enjoy them. When I grow confident enough, I'll put up video pieces...and when more confident still, LIVE. I don't anticipate getting into slick, highly edited video. I'd rather you see me as my true bumbling self just trying to make sense of a very peculiar world.
I encourage you to participate and share your wisdom with me. For goodness' sake, share your humor and let's have fun with one another. Please make suggestions and let's build a fun place to be without all the FB/Insta/whatever dramatics and entanglements (like advertising).
The single highest guiding principle of the MurphyVerse is to use your wits to AMUSE and NEVER ABUSE. I simply won't tolerate abuse of other people in the MurphyVerse.
Finally, all ideas are fair game. It is entirely authorized and acceptable to challenge any other member/supporter's IDEAS. Personal attacks, on the other hand don't fly here. Foul language is not expressly prohibited here, but please try to be more creative. I recognize that sometimes, however, a four letter word has no peer. Let's at least shoot for a PG rating, OK?
Welcome to the MurphyVerse. The home of SMARTASSTIC.
"I am standing on the Mountain of Right, and you are standing in the Valley of Wrong." Deputy Frank Sloup, Pinal County, AZ
Why do I like this one? I have a primary residence on the Mountain of Right.
Of you who read my previous post, how many of you caught the quote I stole from a movie? Can you name the movie and who said it?
Bet you didn’t know there would be a test…..
So, I have completed 4 of 6 chemo infusions, and I have to say that the last one seems to have caused almost no side effects that cannot be otherwise explained by the disease itself. I remain exhausted all the time, and I go home at the end of the workday positively depleted. That, however, seems to be due to the anemia that somewhat existed before chemo started but certainly seems to have been exacerbated by it.
I presently sit at a 40% disability rating with the Veterans Administration with some big stuff pending. I am awaiting a decision on my hearing loss and the PTSD/Depression. The cancer aspect takes a step forward with an exam by a VA contracted provider who will provide a recommendation as to the service connection to the cancer. If it goes my way and I get to 100%, then as soon as the first check hits the bank, I’m retired. While this exam is scheduled for Monday, I have no assurance that a VA determination will be quickly forthcoming. Patience is the key.
My spirits ...
